I’m thinking that these photos, found in the same “blind” photo lot from ebay, might be connected. I think these are a mother and a daughter!
Else Martha Perthel was born on June 15th, 1896, in Greiz, Germany. She married Max Pittner on July 22nd, 1920 in Berlin-Neukölln. Max was 4 years Else’s senior, born on April 8th, 1892, in Vilshofen, Bavaria. Max was a veteran of WWI and a pastry cook by profession. Else was a cook.

I believe that the couple had a daughter called Waltraut, who was probably born in 1930/31, since she started school in 1937 in Berlin-Neukölln. Unfortunately, I cannot find any birth records for Waltraut, as they are protected by the data protection laws. So this is just a theory of mine, supported by the few records I’ve been able to find.
Waltraut might still be alive. But there is a big probability that she married and changed her surname.
If you know Waltraut or her family, please let me know!
