BLOGGED Lyda Isabel Bushfield was born in November 1879 in Pittsburgh, Pa. To her parents George and Martha Bushfield and sister Caroline she was Bella, the rest of the world knew her as Lyda. She had 4 children with her husband of 66 years, Clarence W. Close: Martha, Frederick, Anna and Clarence Jr. Her taste in fashion was impeccable and, well, expensive. If Charles Dana Gibson didn't have a muse for his drawings of the Gibson Girl, I think we can agree Lyda would have been very well suited (swipe for a drawing of Lyda in the Pittsburgh Press of Sept 16, 1902).
